The project begins by reviewing the current way of working, user groups, roles, decision rules, data sources and connected systems. Manual steps, repeated data entry, approval bottlenecks and reporting requirements are documented. The objective is not to include every possible feature, but to define the priority problem for users and the organisation.

The first release separates the functions required to operate the core user journey from improvements that can move to later phases. Acceptance criteria, exclusions, data needs and integration dependencies are documented. This provides a stronger basis for the proposal, delivery schedule and test plan.

In a web application, the interface is not simply a visual layer. User flows and screens define which information each user sees, the order in which tasks are completed and how errors are handled. Product, design and engineering decisions are considered together so that complex rules can become understandable interfaces.

The Art Director and UX/UI team balance the visual character of the brand with operational use. Dashboards, tables, forms, filters, statuses, notifications and permission screens are designed through a consistent component system. Responsive behaviour, keyboard use, readability and accessibility requirements are scoped around the target users.

Approved flows are implemented through frontend components, backend business rules, a data model and user permissions. Access for administrators, employees, customers, dealers or members is defined by the records they may see and the actions they may perform. Data validation, error handling and activity records are planned according to the project requirements.

When CRM, ERP, payment, email, mapping or another service is involved, its API capabilities, data ownership, authorisation, failure scenarios and service limits are reviewed. Third-party licences, access, quotas and version changes remain separate dependencies; each integration should be named explicitly in the proposal.

The test plan covers core user journeys, roles and permissions, form validation, integrations and failure scenarios. Browser and device checks, together with performance and accessibility reviews, are carried out according to project requirements. Sensitive-data scope, access policies, backup and record-retention responsibilities should be agreed before launch.

Go-live covers the domain, hosting, environment configuration, data migration, user accounts and rollback planning. Project testing does not replace an independent security audit or regulatory-compliance review. Any specialist assessment and the responsible party must be defined separately at the start of the engagement.

After launch, defect resolution, technical maintenance, monitoring, backup and new-feature requests are different types of work. Support hours, response times, maintenance coverage and the pricing of future development should be established through a separate service model. Ownership of source code, data, domains, hosting and external-service accounts should be clear in the handover documents.

Cost and timing depend on the number of screens and roles, the complexity of business rules, migration, integrations, reporting, security, testing and support requirements. Mobile applications, extensive e-commerce operations or licensing an existing product may require separate scopes. No specific performance, ranking or commercial result is guaranteed.
